Exciting receptionist / administrative opportunities are available in some of our Little Owls Nurseries across the city. If you are an experienced administrator / receptionist who enjoys a leading role in a busy environment, these are the opportunities for you.
4 x posts @ 30 hours p / week – all year round
1 x post @ 20 hours p / week – all year round
1 x post @ 18 hours p / week – all year round
You must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people and build good relationships with colleagues, partner organizations and members of the public. You need to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision while being flexible, organized, self-motivated and practical. Our children’s centers provide excellent nursery and family services, often supporting vulnerable families in our communities. You will, as the ‘face of the center’, provide a warm, welcoming and quality customer service, while acknowledging the need to maintain confidentiality, show empathy, resilience and communicate positively with all families and service users. You have a good knowledge of IT and the Microsoft Office suite.
From day to day you will:
- respond to inquiries via face-to-face, telephone or e-mail, and show a commitment to quality customer service.
- data that imports and maintains electronic records, using various IT databases / systems with excellent attention to detail
- the execution of financial processes such as the ordering of goods, the processing of invoices / petty cash and the taking of payments
- provides quality support for a wide range of typing and administrative requests from the manager and staff
Experience using Microsoft IT packages and a qualification in numeracy and literacy are essential. An NVQ level 2/3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) is desirable.
A Disclosure and Obstacle Service (DBS) will be conducted on preferred candidates
