Opportunity Overview: The KPMG legal team has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated administrative assistant to join the Calgary office in a permanent position. In this role, you combine strong organizational skills and stakeholder management to provide executive-level support. The role involves the proactive organization, support and assistance of the Calgary KPMG Law partners and associates in delivering high quality and timely service, information and advice to internal and external clients. There is a specific focus on being an integral part of the KPMG legal team in the execution of the strategy and the achievement of performance objectives and long-term strategic aspirations. What you are going to do Control time, resources, workflow and deadlines of legal personnel, including opening new files, performing and coordinating conflict searches and other process-opening processes and procedures, maintaining a filing system for all documents, compiling and organizing materials for work-on-the-go, and maintaining a restraint diary. Assist with the preparation and submission of time and expenses. Interact with clients and external service providers to schedule appointments, investigations and hearings. Draw up correspondence and memoranda, such as affidavits of records and other court documents. Receive, digitize and send all KPMG correspondence. Supports word processing support for KPMG partners and attorneys; Provide general administrative support to partners / attorneys in the Calgary office, such as filing, answering the phone, making travel arrangements, preparing bank deposits, photocopying, and binding materials as needed. Help with special projects. Sometimes business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work longer than their normal working day or work week to meet the responsibilities required for their job. People also need time to devote themselves to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility makes this possible.
