Our Port Moody office is looking for a detail-oriented office assistant with excellent customer service skills to perform various interim administrative duties. If you are a self-employed, service-minded and would like to provide assistance to internal and external clients, as well as perform varied administrative work, consider joining us for this exciting permanent opportunity.

This position may be required to work on-site at the Port Moody office.

What you will do

As an office assistant you will:

  • Take care of the reception upon receipt and perform the administrative duties, including submission, e-mail, scanning, receiving calls, general information, recording messages, forwarding calls and receiving and forwarding visitors
  • Obtain and document information from plaintiffs, employers or other parties
  • Type a variety of materials, such as correspondence, forms, reports and materials that include technical and industrial terminology
  • Maintain files and distribute materials as needed
  • Receive, sort and send mail as needed

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Obtain and record information, orally and in writing
  • Pay attention to detail

Your experience and educational background:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 education
  • Recent, related work experience in an administrative role
  • Use Microsoft Word Proficient
  • Type a minimum of 40 words per minute
