The Leigh UTC and Inspiration Academy have a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an administrative assistant from October 2021.
Our successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the school office – you will be the first point of contact for many members of the school and external stakeholders, with the ability to accompany your administrative task as needed. Applicants must be professional, personal and committed to provide excellent service on behalf of the school and greater trust, and above all, our appointed candidate will have a positive work ethic and a can attitude.
This role is offered permanently, duration + 2 weeks built in and 37 hours per week.

Work with us: Following the opening of the Leigh UTC in September 2014 with the latest facilities that were originally for key stages 4 and 5, the Leigh UTC offers an exciting, innovative, business-led, problem-solving curriculum with which students can perform relevant work related qualifications and transferable skills for future training or employment. The most unique feature of The Leigh UTC is the business ethos that is emphasized by the behavior of our students and supported by our sponsors.
In September 2017, at the request of the Department of Education due to our continued success, The Leigh UTC marked history by expanding its student intake to include Key Phase 3 – the first UTC in the UK to to do it. In addition, we enabled the first UTC with IB World School Status to develop strong ties in Germany and Qatar. By having IB status, we will be able to further develop the Intermediate Program (MYP) for our key Phase 3 students, thus providing a combined path of 11 to 19 years. The overarching mission of the Inspiration Academy is to develop curious, academically skilled young people who strive to be principled, compassionate learners. Our curriculum strives to create students who are self-motivated, competent, willing to take risks and lifelong learners.
Our main successes and characteristics in which our successful candidate can participate are as follows;

As part of the Leigh Academic Trust: As of September 1, 2021, our Trust consists of 31 geographically organized academies (15 secondary, 14 primary and 2 special) that train 20,000 students and employ 2,500 talented staff. The Trust establishes four ‘groups’ academically: North West Kent; Central Kent; Southeast London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the largest initial teaching training organizations in the region, a large center for education schools and an accredited apprenticeship provider.
