We are looking for a production assistant to join our active academic and professional department, which publishes on a variety of topics, including philosophy, education, theology, linguistics, history, drama, film and media and fashion.
This would be an excellent first task for someone who would like to enter the book publishing industry within the production-editorial environment.
upload files to and distribute files from our digital asset management system
desktop editing and print-purchasing work on reprints and new-in-paperbacks
Print on Demand service and e-book conversion programs
provide administrative support to the team
Knowledge, skills and experience
excellent organizational and time management skills
proven IT skills (knowledge of Word and Excel essential)
fine eye for detail
editorial and / or office experience (desirable, but not essential)
The role is a full-time maternity cover until 31 August 2022 with an annual salary of £ 23,000
The role is based on our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a mandatory work pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Wednesday and Thursday
