Purpose and responsibilities of the work
The responsibilities of a school administrative assistant include:
Provides administrative and administrative support to the departmental chairpersons of the school and members of the faculty
Answer all incoming phone calls, transfer calls to different offices and take messages for the faculty and place outgoing calls as requested
Use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Access, etc., to compile correspondence and documents, and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, and databases.

Book class and conference rooms.
Arrange meetings, take minutes and keep notes.
Stationery and equipment order and maintain and comply with all requests of the faculty.
Sort and distribute incoming mail and organize and send outgoing mail.
Collection and summarization of data for assignments, reports and correspondence of computerized tracking system and manuals to provide accurate information.
Maintaining classroom distribution and record keeping.
Minimum qualification and training
Diploma in a field that matches the specific assignment.
Required knowledge and skills
Business angels, spelling, grammar and punctuation are needed to compile and proofread simple written documents.
Must have good communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
The ability to communicate effectively and to help others.
The ability to keep administrative records and compile simple reports.
1-2 years secretarial experience.
Language proficiency required
Ideally, English and Arabic are fluent
