Job description: The resource team

The Resourcing Team at the University of Essex currently consists of four resource advisors, three resource assistants, a project officer and is led by the head of resources. They are responsible for all aspects of recruiting staff, including the advertising of new roles, the provision of professional advice on recruitment and selection, including immigration matters, and the coordination of the bulk of administrative recruitment activities for posts at all levels of the University and also its subsidiary companies; University of Essex Campus Services and Wivenhoe House Hotel.

The role

It is a very busy and varied role that supports the delivery of an effective recruitment service for internal as well as external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the effective coordination of administrative aspects of the recruitment process, and you will strongly support the resource advisers to ensure that the University recruits the right people with the right skills to deliver excellence in research and education, in a timely and efficient way.

The person
You have work experience in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, while managing a range of tasks by multiple deadlines. You also have effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide and diverse range of people.
